Frustrating Books Are Frustrating

Howdy! I've read three more books since my last post, which is a pretty awesome feat in my opinion. I am not a fan of 9am classes. Plus we had almost a whole week of snow days, which was amazing! But let's get to the books.

I was right about the Cassandra Clare rant.I have no idea how she comes up with these heartbreaking situations where there seems to be absolutely NO right answer. I finished Clockwork Prince. Needless to say, I once again have a love/hate (mostly love, soooooo much love) relationship with her books. There's Will, and he's so well-meaning and messed up. I just want to bake him cookies and make him feel better. Then there's Jem. He's perfect. I can't find any flaws in him. How am I supposed to choose between them? In The Mortal Instruments, it was an easy decision. I was always team Jace, and I am like that with nearly every book I read. It doesn't take long before I have a clear team. The Infernal Devices is a different story. I have never been so confused before. I can't see how this series is going to end happily, but I can't wait to find out what happens! Also, her CLIFFHANGERS. They're pure torture.

After I finished Clockwork Prince, I decided to finish reading Across the Universe by Beth Revis. I started it last year, and then I most likely got distracted by another book. It had nothing to do with the Across the Universe being boring, it's definitely not, I just get distracted easily. Anyways. I loved this book! The story was very intriguing to me, especially everything about what Eldest was enforcing in order to keep the ship alive (in his opinion, at least). I love twists, and after the halfway point, this book was full of them. I also really like the relationship between Amy and Elder. I'm hoping I can read A Million Suns soon! I need to know what happens.

The last book I read was The Battle of The Labyrinth by Rick Riordan. Side-note, I will forever have to look up how to spell labyrinth. I can never remember. I read the first three books in the Percy Jackson and The Olympians series in 2010, and LOVED them. Then I got distracted again. So, after finishing Across the Universe, I decided to finish this series. I got ten pages into this book and was reminded of just how hard I ship Percy/Annabeth. YOU'RE PERFECT FOR EACH OTHER. JUST GET TOGETHER ALREADY. Gah. I think Greek mythology is super interesting, so I love all of the stories in these books. And as much as the movie was so messed up (which made me sad, it could have been awesome), I love who they picked to play Poseidon. Me and my sister watched Grey's Anatomy on Netflix last year and when he showed up we yelled "IT'S POSEIDON!" at the same time. He's gorgeous. So, every time Poseidon shows up in the books, I enjoy picturing that actor. Okay, my dad is watching Wheel of Fortune right now, and they just had a puzzle that was "Greek God Poseidon". Creepy. But anyway, I'm reading The Last Olympian right now, and I'm freaking out. I really don't want Percy to die.

I picked up Anna Dressed in Blood by Kendare Blake at the library today. I've read a lot of great things about this book so I'm really excited to start reading! I also picked up Airhead by Meg Cabot. I adore her Mediator series, and I've read a few of the Princess Diaries books, so I'm excited to start that as well. Anywho, I hope that wasn't too boring for y'all. I probably committed some heinous grammar crimes. Oh well. I'll write again soon!
